Matt and I finally got the courage to start our Babies R Us registry last night, and I can't believe how overwhelming the entire experience was! Not really knowing what we really "need" we did our best to hit the basics, but only added a meager 17 items. So, I'm hoping that all the mommies out there could take a few minutes and let us know what your best/worst purchases were... Here is a link to our registry if you want to take a look.

Try adding clothes, receiving blankets, wash clothes, diapers, more bottles, just a few suggestions for your registry
I recommend swaddle wraps and some kind of carrier for you to wear them if they are fussy.
OK, I'm not a mom, maybe health stuff like a humidifier, saftey locks, a night light...oh, and one of those nursing pillow things. I seem to remember my friend Kristen loving those.
Jen- the "snuzzler head" thiny is a great idea- but using it in a car seat will violate the carseat warranty (anything added to the seat has to be made by the manufacturer) You can do the same thing by rolling receiving blankets long way on each side of Miss Allison :)"Sadly" I took at 32 course on how to install car seats- so I was filled with too much info on carseats!
Hehheh- got a list for you:
*Breast pump- even if you breast feed- that way Matt can feed Allison too.
*Bassinet (for the first few months)
*Pack N Play
*Look into stroller/car seat combos
*Baby bouncer (with vibrate)
*Boppy (for breast feeding)
*Baby Bjorn (expensive but worth every penny)
*Onesies (get ones that have buttons down torso & crotch- so you don't have to put over her head) - hard to find!
Yeah, so I've been thinking about this for a LONG time!! And have shopped for lots of newborns with my volunteer work!!
Have fun with it- BTW- love the theme- I can't imagine anything but Cookie Monster! Love ya!
